The Church of the Multiplication

The Church of the Multiplication is a Catholic church located at Tabgha, on the northwest shore of the Sea of Galilee. The church of the multiplication is at the site where not far from Capernaum.

The Lord stood in a grassy field teaching the crowd that had gathered.  This gathering was near seven springs.  Is is in this field where the Lord fed 5000 men with just five loaves and two fish.

It is certain that Jesus fed many womn and children that day also.  A mosaic of the loaves and fish can be seen in the church in front of the alter.

In images of the loaves and the fish, there are usually the two fish, but only four loaves of bread. There are usually only four loaves included in the image, because the missing loaf represents Jesus - the living bread; the bread of life that continues to feed us today.

Do you regularly attend Mass to eat the living bread?
