Beheading of John the Baptist Church

The Church of the Beheading of Saint John the Baptist is located in Madaba. In his Homily, Bishop Michael acknowledged the unwavering faith and commitment of the Saints, especially their willingness to bear witness under challenging conditions - even death.

Following the Mass, we explored the Acropolis Museum beneath the church which included the shrine to the beheading of Saint John and Ruth's tent.

There is also an ancient well dating to the Moabite era, 3000 years ago, which is still operational.

John the Baptist was known for his commitment to evangelisation - spreading the Good News.  If you were to be known for something - what would it be?
